Sa bhliain 2024, thosaigh mé ag obair le bunscoileanna mar ealaíntóir – ag cumadh amhráin nua agus ag déanamh ealaín leis na bpástaí ar tograí eagsúla. Mar cuid den áisitheoireacht, bainaim úsáid as cluichí drámaíochta, ceol beo, cluichí le ceol, ag canadh le chéile, scéalaíocht le íoga agus machnamh agus cluichí chruthaitheachta eile.

Is breá liom an Ghaeilge a úsáid mar cuid den obair sna scoileanna, más féidir. Bíonn amhráin á chumadh againn go macarónach más féidir.

Since 2024, I have been engaged with schools in Co. Mayo, collaborating with the pupils on creative projects. Outputs from these projects have included new original songs and mp3 recordings, artwork, a school mural, work in clay, sculpture, animation and video documentation. Click on the images below to learn more about the different projects. Through these projects seven new songs composed have been composed with children. Some of these songs are also available on Bandcamp.

I was delighted to be invited to collaborate with second, third and fourth class at the Teresian school in Dublin to compose an Anthem for their school inspired by the school’s ethos, “Joy, Fortitude and Love”. Thanks for your interest in Arts in Education. The beauty of collaboration in schools is that it allows the students an opportunity to ‘think outside the box’ to engage creatively with themes and learn in new ways.
